Current District of Columbia residents will receive priority and advanced preference for screening and interviews.
DESCRIPTION The Commission on Nightlife identifies and studies common issues and trends relating to the after-hours economy and advises the Mayor, Council, and Director of the Office of Nightlife and Culture on ways to improve laws and policies that impact the after-hours economy. The Commission will work with the Director on executive programs, policies, and making recommendations to the Mayor.
One member who serves the board of directors a Business Improvement District
One member who is a dean or director or equivalent from a university with 50% students residing in on-campus housing
One member from an organization that advocates for preventing sexual harassment and assault
One member who is a District of Columbia based musician or music industry producer
One member who is a District of Columbia based artistic director in the performing arts
One member how is a District of Columbia based visual artist
TIME COMMITMENT The Commission shall meet at least once every 3 months.
