To regulate the practice of chiropractic medicine in the District of Columbia. The mission is to serve and protect the public and ensure high standards of chiropractic care and professionalism through best-practices in regulation, education and outreach.
commission membership The Commission shall be comprised of five (5) voting members appointed as follows.
Three (3) doctors of chiropractic licensed in the District
One (1) consumer member
Department of Health Director or their designee
Qualifications The professional members must be licensed to practice in the District. Each professional member shall have been engaged in the practice for at least three (3) years preceding appointment. The consumer member must be at least 18 years old and shall not be a health professional or in training to become a health professional, and shall not have a household member who is a health professional or is in training to become a health professional.
time commitment The Board meets monthly; subcommittees meet as required to complete tasks.
